Guess who's back?!

I know everyone wants me to post on my blog, but I waited so long I forgot the password. Ha ha. So, here's Hollilicious, my new and improved blog! And right now, I want to catch everyone up on what's been happening since you saw me on Christmas vacation. I'll try to remember all the big things I did.
Well, when I started school again in January, I also got to start voice lessons with Mrs. Miller. She's the school's music teacher, choir director, Act 1 director, she runs the Talent Show, Show Choir director and she does C2BC-- Cool to be Christian. And of course, she also does voice lessons. I was really happy to start taking voice, and I've improved a lot over the last few months. She said she would take me to the Solo & Ensemble (sp?) contest with a solo. Yay! The contest was last month, about the middle of March. I sang a solo called 'The Lotus Flower' and I got a 1 superior (the highest score) on it. I was also in the contest with 2 ensembles. An all girls one that sang a song called 'How Merrily we Live' which got only a 1, and a mixed one that sang a song called 'Oh ohki manza mia' which got a 1 superior. Yeah, it was italian so I have no idea how to spell the title. My mom filmed those two so y'all will probably get to watch them.
Before Show Choir started up again, my school did the Talent Show. So of course I was in that! You could only be in 3 things, so I wanted to do everything! I sang the song 'I Hope you Dance'. When I was in that, I was on stage with 3 other people. It was called the Pop Vocal Legends. Everyone sang a little bit of their song. There was 'Respect', 'Sweet Home Chicago', and 'Jesus Take the Wheel' on stage too. I was the second to sing. We were all sitting, or standing, on boxes and the spotlight was on whoever was singing. I wore a pretty black dress and black heels. I was also in a skit and a dance. The dance was a jazz dance to the song 'On Broadway'. We did the dance with chairs and we wore top hats, it was really cool. We all wore white camis, black pants, jazz shoes (duh), and red sashes around our waists. Everybody loved it. And finally, the skit. All the skits this year were sports themed, and I was in the golf one. It was about these girls who were taking a golf class, and they were really ditzy. For example, when the golf instructor said we shouldn't get a bogey, a girl started screaming. She was supposed to be my daughter, and I was really over protective of her (her name was Snookums). I said she had been afraid of the bogeyman for years! It was funny. The others were this; two girls thought that they served refreshments on the golf course because of the tee (thought it meant tea), one thought the sand traps were to trap animals and said it was inhumane, one thought that birdies and eagles meant they they hunted eagles, and the last said she didn't want to learn how to use an iron. Anyway, it ended with everybody storming out for some reason, and the golf instructor war annoyed and tired. What fun!
Just a couple weeks ago, Show Choir started up again. We are doing a medley from the Wizard of Oz, and a medley from Wicked. I'm so excited! We don't have much of the dances down yet, and we haven't got most of the singing memorized, but we're getting there. I'm almost positive I'll get a solo, but I really don't know which one it will be. I don't care that much though. Anyway, it's a lot of fun. Also, Mrs. Miller knows I have a pretty wide range, so she put me on Alto for both the medleys, since there wasn't enough. Coolness!
Well, I usually don't talk about my classes much, but I do want to say a little something about my exploratory classes. Last quarter I was in Shop class. Really boring, no offense; it's not that I just didn't like Shop, we just had a kind of boring teacher. Anyway, I made a napkin holder that's now sitting on my kitchen table! We got two grades on it, one for sanding and one for staining. I got a 100 on my sanding, but only a 92 on my staining. I don't know how it happened, but there's one whole part of the napkin holder (it's a small part) that doesn't have stain on it. Embarassing. Anyway, this quarter, I'm taking spanish! I'm actually really excited, I'm planning on continuing spanish throughout High School. In class, we had to pick a spanish name to use instead of our real name. I picked Mariana, for obvious reasons.
How could I forget, I went to Disney World! Not much to say about that, except it was sooooooooooo much fun and I wish I didn't have to leave! There were so many things to do; shows, rides, and of course shopping, so I didn't get to do everything I wanted to, but it was really great. I wanna go back!
And now, it's Spring Break. I'm not doing much, but I'm okay with that. It's the perfect time to start my blog! But what have I done so far? I went to my best friend's birthday party, that was fun. And I went to see 'The Last Mimzy' with one of my friends. It was going to be a group thing but everyone was on vacation! Anyway, the movie was really good. I thought I wouldn't like it, but I really did. I don't know what else I'll do, but I know I'll be working on my blog!

Adios!
Holly

You forgot to include "Holly's dad" in that second definition's list of things Holly would really like.
