Well, I made Oliver! I'm in the chorus, which is in at least three major songs (which I think are 'Consider Yourself', 'Who Will Buy', and 'Oom-Pa-Pa'). I'm excited, except for that the rehearsals will conflict with dance, at least for a couple of weeks. I'm a little worried because I haven't been able to go to dance in a while, but my teacher really wants me to be in the recital. She understands too, because her daughter is also in Oliver, and is going to have to miss some dance classes. But anyway, I'm excited for that. Rehearsals start next week.
Today we had a snow day. It's kind of stupid, because we should have had one yesterday, and we should've gone today, but whatever. I went over to my friend Sam's house for a few hours. It was fun, we made some videos, some prank calls, stuff like that.
Tomorrow is solo & ensemble contest. I'm a little worried that the mixed ensemble isn't going to get a first superior, not because we're not good, I think we should get one, but we're the first people to go and the first few songs are always judged the hardest. I'm also worried about girls ensemble because we don't know all the words. I think my solo is great, but I might get points taken off for phrasing wrong, and I'm worried I'll run out of breath at the end of my duet and mess up my partner. Uggh!!
The talent show snuck up on me. It's NEXT WEEK!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!! Okay. Sorry about that. Usually the talent show would be next month, but for some reason, I think spring break, it's not. Oh well, I'm confident that it will go well.
Since we had a snow day today, and yesterday the roads were so bad that our first Holocaust Museum field trip was cancelled, we all have to be rescheduled. I'm dissapointed, but at least we're still going. On Wednesday our whole team watched the Anne Frank movie. I was so proud of myself because I managed to only tear up a little bit during the movie, but once it was over, I was crying my eyes out, walking back to my locker. My friends had to hold my hand, it was kind of embarassing. But, the movie was really good.
