THANK YOU AUNT SALLY FOR ALL YOUR SOUNDTRACKS THEY'RE SO GREAT EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T GOTTEN A CHANCE TO LISTEN TO ALL OF THEM YET!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!
Okay, now that that's out of the way;
Alright, I didn't realize I hadn't posted in so long. I was busy. Lame excuse, but whatver.
The showcase (which I finally found out was called 'Broadway! The Musical') went sooooo well. The cast party after the first show was really fun. It was at these two guys's house (they're brothers) and they have pretty much the coolest house ever. I mean, that I've ever been in. It was so fun, so I was pretty sad that it ended. But now that theater company is doing a comedy called 'Romeo, You Idiot' and I have the minor role of the drug dealer. Which I find pretty funny.
Everything I tried out for in the school talent show made it. So, here's the verdict; I'm doing a jazz dance to the Hairspray song 'You Can't Stop the Beat', I'm singing the song 'Your Daddy's Hands' from Ragtime, I'm in a skit about these girls who are hiking (it's a serio-comic), and I'm in the 6-7 minute review of Seussical as Cat in the Hat. I'm very satisfied.
Next weekend is solo & ensemble contest, and I feel very ready for it. That's... really all I have to say about that (haha, total Forrest Gump moment).
On Saturday I tried out for Oliver at a community theater company at the local college. I couldn't make the call-backs, but they said I did really good, that they were really impressed so it was okay that I couldn't make them. I think I might get one of the solos in the song 'Who Will Buy'; either the rose seller or the strawberry seller. So, naturally, I'm really excited for that.
Tomorrow I'm going to see the show Avenue Q with my friend Abby at the Fox. I'm so excited; it's a kind of innapropriate musical done throught pupppets. My kind of show.
This week (I think it's this week), I'm going on a field trip to the holocaust mueseum. I'm really excited; we're going to get to meet a holocaust survivor. I heard good things about the museum.
Finally, this weekend I went on a retreat with my conformation class! It was from Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon. I have to admit, that since I'm not really close friends with anybody there, that it wasn't as enjoyable as it could've been. But I still had fun, and I don't regret going.
